Many of our patients will benefit greatly from your authentic presence.
The Hospice Companion Volunteer - Companionship is many things -- playing music, reading prayer, poetry, stories, enjoying pet videos, watching a movie together, bringing in nature, or holding a hand in gentle silence.
Your presence will also act as an advocate for those who are unable to let their needs known, or for example, may just need help finding the remote to watch their favorite show.
Hospice is about quality of life in each moment.
You can help bring in this quality.
You time of service will be 1-4 hours a week.

There are 3 levels to complete with approx 21hrs of training.
We follow all CMS/CDC/State guidelines on safety, testing, background/driver checks, and tb test.

Responsibilities:
The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position.

* Assist with placing job postings on all relevant platforms
* Scheduling interviews and managing applicant documentation
* Assist with preparation for university recruiting events
* Assist with office administration
* Perform clerical duties, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, etc.

* Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations
* Run general industry related errands
* Manage databases and input information, data, and records
* Research and gather documentation on company position in the industry
* Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks
* Other tasks as needed
Requirements:
* Currently pursuing degree from an accredited university or college
* Expected graduation date between December 2024 and August 2026
* Proficiency with relevant office PC applications, particularly MS Office suite
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Ability to multi-task
* Strong preference for previous internship experience
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to commit to a regular part-time or full-time work schedule in one of our offices
