Position is full-time, 0.75 FTE, rotating shifts.
4 West is a 24-four-bed limited-stay unit that typically cares for general medical surgical patients whose care is driven by protocols.
The unit consists of single patient care rooms, which can also be isolation rooms.
The goal of the unit is to provide very high-quality, high-value patient care within a 72-hour time frame.
Each patient room is equipped with oxygen, compressed air and suction, along with state-of-the-art cardiorespiratory bedside monitors and computers that enable the health care team to access a patient's electronic medical record.
These computers are also used in the barcoding administration of medications which ensures patient safety by verifying that the correct medication is given to the appropriate child.

Manager of Plant Operations

The manager of plant operations maintains the equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable regulations and the director's guidelines.
Responsible for the operation, testing and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical distribution system, generators, electrical switchgear, boilers, steam distribution, fire protection systems, medical air compressors, vacuum pumps, medical gas distribution, water distribution, sewer systems, elevators and building controls.
Assists with maintaining a library of building plans and operation manuals for facility.
* Responsible for repairing, maintaining and operating the equipment and systems throughout the facility, i.e.
emergency power supply, HVAC, steam distribution, fire protection, medical gas, and all other essential systems to current applicable codes and standard.
* Leads and supervises the electric shop, HVAC shop, plumbers, and other employees responsible for specific systems and equipment.

* Schedules, coordinates, and supervises outside contractors performing repairs and testing on equipment and systems.
