Schneider Electric is looking for a BAS Systems - Project Manager in the Charlotte, NC
Primary responsibility is delivering Building Automation System projects.
This position is typically held by an individual that has at least 8+ years of experience.
He or she must have related industry knowledge, strong customer service skills, strong understanding of contracting procedures and tactics relative to such areas as project correspondence, documentation, timely notice of claims, subcontract negotiation and subcontract administration.
This individual should have an advanced understanding of HVAC Controls and have the ability to analyze control system drawings and schematics as well as advanced knowledge of contract law, codes, standards and industry construction knowledge.
He or she must exhibit strong leadership skills including team leading and the ability to empower others through delegating responsibility.
This position plans, directs and coordinates activities of project teams to ensure that goals and objectives of the project are accomplished on time.
This position may also be responsible for directing operations personnel.
The Project Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be an active participant in the development and implementation of Operations Excellence.
Duties include but not limited to:
* Manage and support the completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
* Conduct all departmental reviews / turnovers during each stage of the project (Sale to Ops, Ops to Sales, design, execution, and Ops to Service)
* Fully accountable for the quality of the project execution and documentation
* Manages all document control for projects, including but not limited to RFI's, meeting minutes, punch lists, transmittal log, submittal log, change order log and issues log
* Overall Project Portfolio Financial Management
* Monitor and control progress & budget, assess and manage the risks to meet customer satisfaction and project profitability.
* Maintain project schedules.
* Develop strong relationships with customer base through excellent project execution.
* Contribute to the project managers community within Schneider Electric.
* Resolve project related issues through RFI's, field surveys, and documentation
