Job Summary:
This position is one of a crew of a well service rig responsible for performing services on oil and gas wells.
Duties include assisting in rigging up and rigging down, pulling/laying down rods, tubing, casing and other functions specified by customer or well operator.
Incumbent follows trainee matrix assignments during training period.
This position has a dotted line reporting line to: Rig Supervisor or equivalent.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lifts, operates, rigs up/down guy wires, hydraulic jacks, pads/boards and emergency gear which may include SCBA boxes, fire extinguishers and H2S monitors.
* Lifts, removes, installs and operates well head pump, jacks and other designated by the rig operator or company official.
* Works on elevated platform handling rods, tubing and other equipment related with well servicing.
* Lifts, attaches, installs and works with matting boards, tubing, rods, casing and associated well equipment, such as rod strippers, polish rods, etc.
* Operates tongs, elevators and other associated rig tools and equipment.
* Receives on the job and other training to gain skills and competencies.
Expected to fulfill successful completion of training.

* Work includes preparation of environmental site characterization and mitigation documents, reports, studies, investigations, assessments, plans, specifications, and cost estimates to include reuse of excavated onsite soil and recycled materials; UXO; disposal of surplus excavated soil including contaminated and hazardous soil materials, and groundwater management during construction.
* Preparation of facility hazardous materials survey scoping documents, reports, studies, abatement plans, specs and cost estimates; assessment and remediation of mold, moisture and indoor air quality issues including vapor intrusion and radon mitigation systems; building condition assessments; and the coordination of permitting and compliance of environmental criteria with the Environmental Business Line for the construction and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands, including minor works projects, specific projects, special projects, military construction, demolition, maintenance, space utilization and facilities development.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Originates environmentally related design support for the site and/or of structures for the projects.
The position will be responsible for the supporting the preparation of final detailed working drawings, construction plans, comparative cost analysis, and project specifications for a wide variety of facility types.
* May be required to evaluate environmental impacts associated with demolition of retired or renovated assets; and the extensive alterations and modifications to airfield facilities, magazines, and small arms ranges to meet the ever-changing demands placed upon the shore establishments of the Navy and Marine Corps.
* Reviews project documentation as assigned and determines the environmental testing requirements for the project facilities and planned site development.
He/she determines the scope of the site characterization and/or the hazardous materials testing program.
From the data gathered from the testing program, he/she prepares demolition and/or remediation plans and specifications to manage risk during construction and allow the facility to safely function as intended.
* Coordinates his/her activities with the activities of others assigned to the project in the preparation of final detailed construction drawings, and specifications.
