PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function of this position is to determine the status of service needed for truck engines and components and perform advanced repairs, replacements, installations, or re-building of parts to restore the engine to the proper operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
* Use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams to troubleshoot engines, engine fuel systems, & transmissions.
* Use lift trucks, overhead cranes, & other aides to lift or move parts into position to be repaired.
* Use hand & power tools to remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, & test.
* Use miscellaneous resources & computers to reference parts, get information about parts & enter data into record systems.
* Use hand & power tools to disassemble/re assemble parts or equipment, drains fluids into tubs, cleans parts with rags, cleaners, power washer.
* Cliimb up onto, under, & into vehicle engine, uses hand & power tools to disassemble/re assemble: sheet metal, engines, transmissions, fuel systems, & other parts or equipment.
* Replace pumps, batteries, radiators (200 lb.
with assistance), bearings, seals, wiring, solenoids, fuel lines, nozzles, tests float valves, glow plugs, alternators.
* Use overhead hoists on service truck to move parts that need to be moved off of vehicle & onto service truck & to move items back to vehicle to be reassembled.
* Use meters, measuring devices, & computers to test & recalibrate equipment.
* Perform inspections, do preventative maintenance, change oil, replace filters, belts, coolants, hoses, may drain/clean/refill fuel systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Must have a high school education or GED.
Work Experience:
Six years of experience with at least four years of experience with Cat equipment.
Must be proficient in at least four mechanical systems (i.e.
transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.) for numerous model lines.
Physical:
Must be able to daily and repeatedly stoop, kneel, bend and climb beside, onto and underneath various equipment to perform diagnosis and repairs.
Must be able to effectively see to perform repairs, research technical manuals, and develop written repair work order reports.

The Master Engine Rebuild Technician is responsible for the set-up, disassembly/re-assembly, overhaul, and rebuild of Mack, Cummins, and/or Caterpillar diesel and natural gas-powered on-highway truck engines and related components.

* Keep supervisor regularly apprised of the status of assigned work and assist in addressing customer questions and concerns.

Scope of the Position
The Process Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining process controls on presses, molds and equipment to customer specifications. Monitoring.
This role is critical to front-line support of Caterpillar’s digital platforms at the asset
level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Provide operational oversight for Digital and Technology infrastructure in Product Support
• Analyze repair queue and coordinate installations or repairs with customers
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and installations, of Product Link Pro and Elite systems (GPS)
• Utilize CAT Online Applications, VisionLink, to analyze actionable data, such as
Diagnostic Codes, and Schedule Oil Samples (SOS) to minimize machine downtime
• Manage Remote Troubleshooting and Remote Flashing of necessary equipment error codes
• Diagnose and repair Fault Code induced components to maximize equipment life
• Assist Caterpillar Engineers in Field Follow projects to identify and correct manufacturing
defects
• Using OEM schematics to diagnose and repair electrical components and subsequent
wiring
• Troubleshoot errors within CAT Payload systems for quarry and mining applications
• Update, Troubleshoot, and Repair critical CAT and Non-CAT Grade Control systems
• Pull Product Status Reports and Configuration Files on necessary assets
• Update & Flash software in all machine ECMs (Electronic Control Modules)
• Diagnose and repair fault code producing Aftertreatment, Emission, and DEF (Diesel
Exhaust Fluid) components
• Follow all Caterpillar and dealership repair guidelines
• Perform other duties as necessary and assigned by the manager or supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Must have a high school education or GED.
Work Experience:
Six years of experience with at least four years of experience on Cat equipment or other similar
equipment; Must be proficient in at least four mechanical systems (i.e., transmissions, engines,
hydraulics, etc.) for numerous model lines.
Physical:
Must be able to stoop daily and repeatedly kneel, bend and climb besides, onto and underneath
various equipment to perform diagnosis and repairs.

Essential Functions
* Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment
* Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
* Reads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
* Positive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department and customers
* Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
* Able to work with diagnostic equipment and or train for troubleshooting and repairs
* Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
* Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience Requirements
* Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
* Must have basic set of mechanic’s hand tools
* Ability to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity
* Able to lift 50 lbs
* Previous experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is a plus
Manufacturer’s training will be an integral part of this position.
Applicant must be willing to learn new computer, electronic and hydraulic systems, follow safety guidelines as they evolve in our industry, and remain certified within the various portions of our field such as assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function of this position is to troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, & test parts/equipment on compact construction equipment at an expert level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Reviews the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
* Uses manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams to troubleshoot compact construction equipment.
* Uses lift trucks, overhead cranes, & other aides to lift or move parts into position to be repaired.
* Uses hand & power tools to remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, & test parts/equipment on construction equipment.
* Uses miscellaneous resources and computers to reference parts, get information about parts & enter data into record systems.
* Uses tools to disassemble/re assemble parts or equipment; cleans parts with rags, cleaners, power washer; uses test equipment to make diagnostic checks; and controls powered equipment or tools to make repairs.
* Climbs up onto, under, & into vehicles to gain access to all parts of vehicle.
* Uses overhead hoists, lift devices, forklifts & other aides to move items off vehicle (tracks, idler wheels, blades, etc.) & then to move parts to locations for disassembly, repair, then back to the vehicle for reassembly.
* Performs inspections, do preventative maintenance, change oil, replace filters, belts, coolants, hoses, may drain/clean/refill fuel systems.
* Uses welders to weld frames, wear strips then use power grinders to grind welds smooth
* Lift/carry and position ram used to remove idlers, unbolt idlers, remove them with
* Uses power washers & spray paint equipment to clean & paint vehicle.
* Uses instruments and computers to reprogram equipment controllers.
Squad Leader Duties:
* Mentor, coach, guide and develop technicians.
* Direct day to day job assignments and responsibilities for up to five or more technicians.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Must have a high school education or GED.
Work Experience:
Eight years of Cat equipment experience.
Fully understands all equipment systems (i.e.
engines, hydraulics, electrical, sub-electrical, transmissions, etc.) for almost all equipment model lines.
Physical:
Must be able to daily and repeatedly stoop, kneel, bend and climb beside, onto and underneath various equipment to perform diagnosis and repairs; Must be able to effectively see to perform repairs, research technical manuals, and develop written repair work order reports.
Must be able to routinely and physically lift/position various parts to perform repairs/service and manually handle parts up to 112 pounds, as well as use mechanical hoist when needed.
