Scope of Responsibility: This position performs production within prescribed codes, and according to prescribed procedures, specifications, and drawings.
Essential Duties: Uses the Flux Cored Arc Welding process to tack weld various small components to round or formed shafts to make a pole assembly for the welder to weld.
The pole assembly generally consists of a round tube or formed shaft, baseplate, hand hole, arm mounting simplex, tenon top, vangs, step lugs, ladder clips, and/or other small parts.Works in Large Pole department on individual fitter station to assemble pole assembly.
Assist material handler in loading round tube or formed shaft on individual fitter station.Reads and interprets drawings to determine parts needed to assemble pole assembly.
Locate and gather Storeroom Personnel staged parts needed for assembly from parts staging area.
Frequently pushes, pulls, and lifts up to 50 pounds.Reads and interprets drawing to assure proper location of various small part attachments.
