This role is essential in fostering a warm, respectful, and nurturing environment for individuals living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify residents using wristbands/photo cards before treatments or services.
* Perform only trained and authorized care procedures per facility policy.
* Assist residents with daily personal care: bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, etc.
* Ensure residents' safety and well-being by checking frequently, especially those unable to call for help.
* Record and report care, behaviors, incidents, and changes in condition promptly and accurately.
* Create a welcoming and calm environment upon resident admission or transfer.
* Maintain resident dignity and confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA.
* Assist in meal service, hydration, and post-meal hygiene.
* Use adaptive equipment and provide restorative or rehabilitative support as instructed.
* Report suspected abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property immediately.
