We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.
This role is ideal for a PTA who enjoys flexible scheduling while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative rehab environment.
General Purpose
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assists the Physical Therapist in providing direct patient care, implementing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and supporting residents in achieving their highest level of functional mobility and independence in accordance with physician orders, state practice acts, and facility policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Treat patients as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
* Implement treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and established goals
* Document daily treatment notes and progress per state and facility requirements

We are looking for a Therapist who can create a patient experience that embodies the Doctors of Physical Therapy vision: to ensure outcomes via evidence- based practice and literature supported treatment which maximizes patient service, quality care, and clinical efficiency.
Responsibilities Perform physical therapy initial evaluations according to APTA standards Develop a comprehensive plan of care for each patient based on initial evaluation findings.
Understand reimbursement standards by insurance carrier and be able to design a clinically superior patient program that allows for heightened patient success.
Demonstrate consistent Compliance excellence by (not limited to): Develop short and long-term goals for patients Implement plan of care Provide comprehensive therapy treatment to improve patient well-being and return to optimized functionality.
Consistently report patient progress to referring physicians and other professionals involved in the ongoing treatment of the patient.
Create and document home exercise plans for patients to improve benefits of physical therapy.
Plan and execute discharge of patient Maintain contemporary knowledge in physical therapy practice through educational workshops, continuing education, etc.
Communicate with stakeholders in a professional manner including, but not limited to, other health care professionals, insurance companies, third party payers, case managers, etc.
