Position Overview
Operates ready mix trucks in a safe and professional manner in the plant yard, on public highways/roads, and at various job sites to deliver products.
Deliveries will be made in both commercial and residential areas.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
* Maintains equipment in a safe and clean condition.
* Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections.
* Verify general compliance with mix specifications after loading and at job site.
* Aligns mixer drum under disbursement chute at the plant to receive product into the mixer truck drum.
* Drive ready mix truck to location for unloading.
* Operate ready mix truck to release concrete down truck chute into area to be poured with concrete.
* Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck
* Places and operates chutes to deliver product where directed.
* Other duties as directed by supervisor.

Position Overview
The Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for all duties of the position, including the transporting of freshly mixed concrete from the plant to the job site in a safe manner.
This individual will be responsible for making normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
* Comply with all Department of Transportation requirements including but not limited to licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.
* Operates truck in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area and at various job sites to deliver materials.
* Inspects the truck as required at the start of each workday, completing the Driver Check-off Sheet which indicates that all systems are functioning properly.
* Maneuvers the truck to deliver concrete to the point of delivery.
Back truck under batching plant or hopper to receive concrete.
* Climbs the ladder, approximately 10-12 feet, on the mixer truck to view the load of concrete for consistency and amount, to inspect the drum for cleanliness.

* Keep truck in clean working order, including basic maintenance.
Including spraying and cleaning after loads and prevent concrete build up in mixer.
