What will you do?
The Material Flow Control Supervisor oversees the material handlers and is responsible for ensuring that materials are moved to the production lines promptly and that all transactions are completed accurately.
This role requires the ability to conduct in-depth analyses of material flow strategies and issues to ensure that all transactions are executed in a timely manner, preventing any impact on production.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
* Plan, supervise, direct, and engage in daily operations while anticipating potential issues related to the material flow process.
* Share timely information with other Supervisors regarding any problems or delays affecting materials needed for production.
* Instruct, train, orient, motivate, mentor, and support employees to achieve material flow objectives.
* Maintain daily metrics on all materials moved and transactions completed.
* Conduct employee performance appraisals and recommend promotions, transfers, and work assignments.
* Supervise safety and housekeeping practices within the department, remaining vigilant for hazardous conditions and investigating accident causes to prevent future occurrences.
* Participate in the annual physical inventory and reconciliation process.
* Assist in investigating discrepancies identified through the Cycle Count Program.
