The position hours are mainly 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 3:00PM-11:30PM) but rotate to 1st shift hours (Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3:00PM) about 25% of the time, based on production needs.
Applicants must be open to this rotating variable shift.
Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot packaging equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and follow production/quality processes.
• Hand sorting, case packing, pallet stacking, and supply replenishment.
• Inspect materials, ingredients, and finished products.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on packaging equipment.
• Execute daily and monthly cleaning tasks per regulations.
• Maintain compliance with process quality, food safety, and general safety programs.
• Learn new methods and assist in training as needed.
Position Requirements:
• Communicate effectively in English with team members and supervisors through various channels, including radio, email and in-person interactions.
• Read and interpret safety and operational instructions.
• Work collaboratively to meet production goals.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous food processing experience is a plus.
• Ability to work first or second shift and overtime as needed.
• Must pass background check and drug screening, per state and federal guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the entire duration of the shift.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to clean various equipment and facility areas.
• Must have good manual dexterity to handle and operate cleaning equipment and tools.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed to reach high areas and equipment.
• Must be able to push and pull heavy cleaning equipment and carts.
