The Electronics Engineering Intern position offers candidates an opportunity to work, contribute, and apply academic skills in a corporate setting with industry professionals.
This position mainly involves validation testing on prototype electronic equipment, but may include assistance on similar new product designs and support of fielded IoT devices.
Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)
1.
Support validation testing for new product designs to established requirements.
2.
Set up and operate lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, data loggers, signal generators, power supplies and loads.
3.
Maintain lab organization and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
4.
Collect, analyze, and document test data to evaluate system performance and compliance with specifications.
5.
Produce clear, detailed, and organized test reports.
6.
Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of hardware and firmware issues.
7.
Assist in the design and construction of simple fixtures as well as automated test systems for validation and production testing of new and existing products.
8.
Develop user documentation for new products
9.
Provide support to electronics engineering staff as needed.
10.
Assist with the day-to-day management of fielded IoT based systems involving activations, maintenance and some troubleshooting.
11.

Experience, Education, & License Requirements:

Primary Function:
Performs engineering assignments with limited direction from supervisor and increasing difficulty.
Primary Duties:
* Work with and manage, engineers and CAD designers working in highly effective teams.
* Write reports, complete engineering calculations, draft specifications, complete engineering designs, prepare cost estimates, research codes, design procedures, and design standards.
* Perform engineering calculations including headloss, equipment sizing, steel pipe thickness, pipe sizing, heat transfer, dosing, etc.
* Under the Project Manager or Project Engineer’s minimal supervision, an Engineer III is the primary person who communicates project-related items directly with the CAD drafters, lower-level engineers, utility companies, and other design team consultants.
* Oversees the implementation of Ardurra’s Quality Management Plan and working with staff to produce project deliverables.
* Engineers are mentored and trained by the Project Manager and are encouraged to participate in the company wide Ardurra Mentorship Program.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in civil or related Engineering degree from accredited university
* 5+ years managing and designing water and sewer infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge and experience with pumping systems and complex process piping.
* Fundamental understanding of hydraulics and hydraulic conditions.
* Functional in AutoCAD, current version.
Revit knowledge and Navisworks a plus.
