Ardurra’s Transportation team offers design capabilities ranging from complex multilevel interchanges to urban arterial reconstruction to complete streets for our clients.
Our portfolio features a plethora of signature projects including the I-395 Signature Bridge reconstruction project in Downtown Miami.
Each of our designs is customized, sustainable, and cost-effective for our clients covering all project types, including Design Build or Design Bid Build.

We are looking for an engineer with experience in roadway and drainage design to support a wide range of FDOT projects.
Projects will include but are not limited to minor and major/complex roadways and interchanges and will offer the opportunity to mentor and guide junior staff and be mentored by some of the top local experts in the transportation industry.
Primary Function:
The successful candidate will work on a variety of transportation related design projects developing contract plans, specifications, and estimates for construction.
They should have experience with the entire project design delivery process.
The candidate shall perform engineering design tasks pertaining to roadway geometric design, production of plans, and writing technical reports and documents.
Primary Duties:
* Research, collect, and review data for transportation-related projects
* Complete technical assignments that include planning, modeling, calculations, design, detailed cost estimates, specifications, and permitting
* Utilize specialized computer software to assist with the analysis, design, and plan production for new transportation systems or parts of systems, such as highways, streets, bridges, drainage structures, and roadway lighting
* Aid in the preparation of detailed reports and documentation of the design approach
* Assist with plan alterations and modifications of existing streets, highways, or freeways to improve traffic flow
Education and Experience Requirements:
* A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
* Approximately 3-8 years of progressive engineering experience in transportation design
* Proficient in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer
* Proficient in MS Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

The Construction Surveillance Engineering Technician (CSET) will provide technical services and expertise related to all phases of construction on a variety of projects within the area of responsibility.
The position will support the client’s Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC), or designee, for construction services such as construction inspection, quality assurance, monitoring safety and environmental compliance and contract administration.
Major Responsibilities
Specific tasks for the CSET include but are not limited to the following:
* Coordinate Requests from Construction Contractor.
Coordinate request from the construction Contractor for outage requests, excavation permits, burn permits, haul routes and other similar items.
This will require liaison with the ROICC and appropriate base personnel (Security, Public Works, Fire Department etc.)
* Coordinate field activities.
CSET shall work with the construction contractor, Navy client customers, activity managers, maintenance and utility servers, Federal Fire departments, and Security Police so there is a seamless coordination of construction activities.
