Responsibilities:
* Notifies subcontractors of commencement dates; solicits delivery schedules from suppliers; expedites deliveries to avoid costly construction delays
* Participates in the detailed estimating of cost and construction time for proposed changes; may participate in direct negotiations with owners about change orders; when negotiations are concluded, the PE I ensures that contract plans and the master schedule are updated properly
* Prepares submittal schedule as required to meet construction schedule and coordinates submissions with subcontractors; assumes overall responsibility for submittals to include checking for accuracy, transmittals to and from subcontractors, architects, superintendents, and maintaining logs; expedites delivery of submittals when necessary to avoid delays in construction; keeps project manager abreast of submissions that will impact schedule
* Prepares and/or oversees preparation of a number of reports dealing with the project, such as material logs, submittal logs, RFI logs, drawing logs, long-lead items log as required by owners and/or company operating procedures
* Assists the project manager in the preparation of subcontracts; assists in resolving any problems regarding interpretation and/or execution of the subcontract; alerts the project manager to problems that have not been satisfactorily resolved at this level and proposes alternative courses of action
* Assists in the verification of monthly subcontractor payment requests
* May assume a role in locating suppliers for various building materials; reviews invoices upon request to verify quantity, quality and prices for construction materials

We are seeking a Superintendent to oversee 3 Industrial Mineral locations in Limeville, Narvon and Weaverland.
The primary function of this position is to provide direction and leadership to the Industrial Minerals manufacturing operations ensuring our customer demands are met or exceeded by ensuring cost effective and operationally sound manufacturing of our products.
Superintendent has supervisory responsibilities over plant foreperson and production coworkers.
Industrial Minerals Superintendent - What Will You Do?
* Manages overall site safety through training and observation of workforce.
Ensures that all safety policies and procedures are being met.
* Develops direct reports technical and leadership skills and makes recommendations for new job opportunities when appropriate.
* Track staffing requirements and act as the hiring manager for needed personnel.
* Oversees product quality and the overall efficiency of the production plan.
This includes achieving production targets while staying within budget.
* Responsible for developing maintenance plan, which includes scheduled outages, routine and preventative maintenance, and unplanned downtime.
* Maintains accurate records through daily production reports, inventory, and critical supplies.
* Direct maintenance and production activities throughout sites to drive continuous improvement, and optimize use of resources, equipment, facilities, and personnel.
* Address co-worker issues and provide resolutions in a timely manner.
* Facilitates daily toolbox talks, JHA meetings, and pre-shift huddles.
* Assists MSHA and DEP inspectors with site inspections.
* Works closely with sales and other lines of business to ensure quality product and availability.
* Maintains an orderly appearance of facility and leads 5S initiatives.
* Maintains positive relations with site neighbors.

Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?
* Minimum of 5 years of general mine/quarry or mineral processing experience.
* 3 or more years of project management experience preferred
* Experience in quarry operations including, but not limited to, blasting, drilling, and de-watering.
* Experience in mineral processing including, drying, grinding, classifying, and packaging.
* Possess knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and operation.
* Capable of building professional relationships with leaders and external networks.
* Excellent customer service.
* Able to collaborate and communicate across the business.
* Positive attitude and willingness to grow and learn.
