Job Summary:
This position is a crew member assigned to work on a well service rig, responsible for performing services on oil and gas wells.
Duties include performing all well-servicing tasks from an elevated position (rod basket or tubing board), assisting in rigging up or down, picking up or laying down tubing, and other functions specified by the customer or well operator.
This position has a dotted line reporting line to: Rig Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assists the operator in rigging up and down, lining up the well service rig with the well.
* Sets hydraulic jacks, handles pads/boards and assists in attaching the guy wires to the anchor.
* Responsible for all elevated work associated with rigging up/down (i.e.
removing horse head from pumping unit).
* Responsible for all work performed for the rod basket and tubing board (transferring rods and tubing from the vertical racks to the elevator), performs servicing on the well.
* Drives the crew truck as needed.
* Operates tubing elevators for standing tubing in derrick.
* Assists in picking up or laying down tubing, manually lifting the tubing from the rack onto the work floor or vice versa.
* Assists in walking the rods when laying down rods.
* Reports any safety hazards, accidents or maintenance issues to the rig supervisor.
* Ensures that work carried out is in compliance with company policies and procedures and according to safety regulations.
* May be required to work floors or operate the rig when needed.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma, GED or equivalent
* 1-2 years of Workover - Derrickhand experience required.
* Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written.
* Ability to interact with others in a team environment.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
* Basic problem solving and organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform normal and customary duties associated with Underground operations
* Responsible for the direct supervision of field crew/employees
* Involved in pre-job meetings as requested
* Provide thorough communications for all jobs with the Area Supervisor
* Responsible for assuring that work crew begins working as soon as they are on the clock
* Prepare a two-week “look-ahead” for manpower, equipment and tools needed for all jobs; submit to the Area Supervisor every week with timesheets
* Responsible for assuring that all needed tools and equipment are on hand and in good working order for the crew’s daily tasks
* Accurately prepare field change memos and daily reports and submit in a timely manner
* Hold weekly safety “tailgate” meetings with all crew members and complete the necessary paperwork
* Responsible for maintaining a construction journal on all jobs, recording jobs worked on, conditions of each site (pictures if appropriate), weather conditions, hazard conditions, and any unusual circumstances that occurred while on the job; journal is to be completed and updated daily to ensure accuracy
* Responsible for the quality of work done on the job, assuring that all work performed by the crew(s) meets or exceeds the customer’s or our Q3 CONTRACTING standards and requirements, whichever is greater

A successful Operator/Locator/Foreman will be able to:

Reporting to the Production Manager, Production Supervisor or designate; the Robot Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the robot welder.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Load parts in appropriate fixturing and run robot welder while maintaining established productivity rates & quality requirements.
* Examine welded sections for defects and perform necessary rework of bad welds.
* Reference prints and work instructions to determine the appropriate materials, tools, resources, and procedures for effectively completing processes.
* Perform in-process quality checks to verify parts meet customer specifications using test fixturing, rulers, micrometers, calipers, etc.
* Perform minor machine adjustments & preventative maintenance.
