Job Title: Prep Cook Department: Food Service Reports to: Kitchen Manager POSITION SUMMARY: Assists the cook in the preparation of quality food products for sale by the Food Service department, while providing customer service.

The role will be scheduled for the full time weekend day shift: Thursday-Monday, 07:00am - 03:30pmEssential Functions Coordinate and verify on-site scheduled meals, supportive services, events, and volunteers; prepare and serve meals on occasions when volunteer meal providers are unavailable.
Effectively communicate to facility guests when meals and services are scheduled, and assist Case Managers, Security, and the Leadership in communicating necessary announcements to clients as needed.
Replenish and organize supplies, light cleaning.
Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
Cultivate and maintain productive, professional relationships with various stakeholders including clients, coworkers, volunteers, third-party vendors, etc.
In a manner that is consistently both kind and professional, effectively greet, engage, and assist all meal and service providers during scheduled shifts, including performing set up and clean up tasks such as wiping down tables, etc.
Receive, organize, and distribute donations.
Facilitate the generation of donation receipts and meet data recording requirements as donations come in.
Organize and maintain inventory of City Nets storage.
Report needed supplies/donations to assigned City Net staff.
Make copies and replenish all City Net forms.
Distribute meal packs to residents when a meal provider runs out of food or when a group cancels.
Check and reply to shelter emails professionally and in a timely manner.
