COOK REPORTS TO: Dietary Manager ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: Full-time 40 hours/week.
Primarily 10:30am 7:00pm with occasional 5:30-2:00pm shifts.
Every other weekend & 3 holidays a year (alternating Thanksgiving and Christmas).
POSITION SUMMARY: The morning cook works from 5:30am 2:00pm.
He/She prepares meals for in-house patients, employees, hospital guests, the Beck (independent living facility), cafeteria lunch service and mobile meals.
Cook may act as support person for staff when dietary manager is absent in the event of an emergency / hospital drill.
The afternoon cook works from 10:30am 7:00pm.
He/She assists morning cook with any patient / hospital meetings food preparation.
He/She serves lunch to the tenants at the Beck.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assembles meals for patients, employees, hospital guests,The Beck, Senior Life Solutions, mobile meals, and hospital meetings.Ensures proper food temperatures according to the USDA regulations and ensures maintenance logs on freezer/refrigerator temperatures.Answers phone orders.Restocks kitchen items.
Cleans, mops, washes dishes, puts away dishes.Helps put away truck inventory.Operates the cash register.
