Department: Police Department Reports to: Shift Sergeant & Lieutenant Classification: Non Exempt Grade 5P Effective Date: October 2026 SUMMARY The City of Tullahoma is currently seeking Police Officers.
Police Officers are under the direct supervision of their shift Sergeant and Lieutenant.
Police Officers are responsible for providing for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing criminal laws and/or city ordinances, and promoting good community relations.
Officers shall become familiar with places of public assembly, official buildings, and crime prone areas.
Officers shall properly investigate all cases assigned to them, including apprehension of the offender, collection of evidence, recovery of property, and preparation of the case for prosecution.
EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITY Enforce all laws and/or ordinances that the Tullahoma Police Department is responsible for which includes, but is not limited, to protecting the lives and property of all persons and maintaining peace and order in the City of Tullahoma.Maintain a police presence while driving a patrol car in any assigned location of the City of Tullahoma in order to deter criminal activity at the discretion of their supervisor.Investigate suspicious persons and situations and unusual or illegal activity including any situations that come about as a complaint from a citizen or call for service.Perform any necessary physical action so that suspects can be controlled and apprehended for the safety of the community.Arrest and incarcerate persons in accordance with legal requirements and Tullahoma Police Department general orders.Monitor traffic and enforce laws and ordinances to ensure motorists observe traffic regulations and exhibit safe driving procedures.Control and direct the flow of vehicle traffic as necessary within the City of Tullahoma.Accurately prepare and promptly submit any and all required reports that come as the result of any official investigation or assignment.Respond to calls for service in a safe manner within the assigned area of responsibility.Perform preliminary and follow-up investigations of criminal and traffic offenses which are assigned to and/or brought to the attention of the officer.Assist the Criminal Investigation Division in securing any and all crime scenes and evidence as needed including interviewing principals and witnesses.Prepare cases for court and Grand Jury and testify to present evidence or act as witness in traffic and criminal cases.Observe any and all radio transmissions and adhere to an attitude of professionalism while operating/transmitting on the radio.Obtain and serve criminal warrants and juvenile petitions as required.Perform related work as required.

Together with the Member Experience Director, the Membership Advisor is the first point of contact for prospective new members, determining their needs and offering solutions to meet these needs.
The Membership Advisor will meet and exceed sales goals by handling all membership inquiries (phone, email, in person), identifying and actively problem-solving to overcome objections/obstacles to joining.
Membership Advisors will track and manage leads and new member engagement outreach.
Other responsibilities could include community outreach by participating in the planning and execution of membership marketing events to increase membership growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MEMBERSHIP ADVISOR: Deliver excellent customer service to all members, guests, and program participants.Be the friendly face that each member, guest and program participant see's when first entering the branch.Create positive lasting memories for each person with helpful responses to their needsExecute connections, follow-ups, and inquires for prospective members, new and existing members.
Complete weekly reporting as required.Ensure all communication/inquiries are responded to within 24 hours.With direction from Member Experience Director, organize, coordinate, and execute regular community/awareness events (e.g., Open Houses, Community Days, and Community Family Days).Communicate effectively in person, on telephone, and through email with members, peer/co-workers, supervisors, and volunteers.Maintain strong knowledge on YMCA Programs, Services, Membership, Donations, Outreach, and Volunteer opportunities.
Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information on YMCA programs and schedules to members/prospective members to connect with areas of interest and encourage member involvement.
Respond to member concerns or problems in positive interactions with member-focused solutions.Attend all staff meeting and Membership Trainings as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS TO BEAMEMBERSHIP ADVISOR: Minimum age of 17.A positive energetic attitude.Must enjoy interacting with others.1 - 2 years of sales or marketing experience preferred.Possess a working knowledge of computers and office machines.Must be available to work varying shifts (i.e., mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays).
