Become familiar with the facility's administrative structure as introduced in the pretraining orientation session.
Report to the charge nurse all accidents/incidents (even of an unknown source) you observe on the shift they occur.

💼 Position Overview
The Director of Staff Development is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading education and training programs for nursing and facility staff.
Working closely with the Director of Nursing and Administrator, the DSD plays a key role in maintaining compliance, building staff competency, and supporting a culture of continuous learning—while also providing direct resident care as needed.
🔑 Key Responsibilities (Summary)
* Lead facility orientation, in-service education, and ongoing training programs
* Develop and maintain annual and monthly in-service schedules and records

* Coordinate infection control education and emergency preparedness drills
* Support recruiting, onboarding, and staff supervision as needed

* Knowledge of PCC preferred
