What will your job look like?
In partnership with Kern Transit the Dispatcher will ensure all fares are collected from Operators/Drivers at the end of their shift and ensure no discrepancies. It is critical in this role to ensure attention to detail when reconciling fare amounts and that they match the reports fares within each Driver/Operators tablet. The Fare Clerk will ensure timely, accurate deposits of all funds per the guidelines of the Client.

What You’ll Do (Essential Functions)
* Ensure all fares are collected from each Operator/Driver at the end of their respected shift
* Deposit all funds collected with at lest two other employees present and according to Client and company guidelines
* Count fares at the end of each Operator/Driver shift, in front of the employee
* Compare the fare types and totals for each Operator/Driver shift to what has been recorded on the operator’s tablet or manifest
* Ensure the totals correspond to the number of passengers carried, accounting for each type
* Ensure total collected match the fare on the reconciliation report
* Note any discrepancies found during reconciliation with the employee, identify the source, and correct the situation as appropriate
* Place all collected fares and reconciliation notes in a drop box safe
* Complete daily fare deposit breakdown report and provide to the client by the next business day
* Ensure fare collection and reconciliation processes are maintained, updated, and approved by the client
* Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations pertaining to client and customer information
