ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize is recruiting Journeyman Millwrights to maintain, improve, and optimize the mechanical operations for our Cement Plant located in Richmond, BC.
This is a permanent, full time, hourly opportunity.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
* Maintain and repair heavy industrial equipment, including rotary cement kilns, ball mills, large gearsets, crushers, and compressors
* Service and troubleshoot a wide range of mechanical systems: fans, blowers, conveyors (belt, bucket, screw, pneumatic), and vibrating screens
* Repair and maintain gearboxes, clutches, pumps, and other rotating equipment
* Respond urgently to equipment breakdowns while upholding safety and product quality standards
* Perform regular inspections to prioritize preventative maintenance over reactive repairs
* Collaborate with team members and work independently to meet maintenance and operational goals
* Communicate with operations, delivery teams, and management to resolve mechanical and process issues
* Maintain accountability by keeping managers informed and owning outcomes of decisions
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement aimed at maintaining top-tier facility performance

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: Journeyman Red Seal status.
Preference to dual ticketed
Required Work Experience: Minimum two (2) years heavy manufacturing/mining experience.
