Key Responsibilities
Planning & Replenishment
* Develop and execute downstream replenishment plans for finished goods across regional warehouses, DCs, and customer fulfillment points.
* Convert demand plans and sales forecasts into distribution requirements and stock transfer orders (STOs).
* Maintain optimal inventory levels by managing safety stock, reorder points, and replenishment frequencies.
Inventory Management
* Monitor inventory health (excess, slow-moving, obsolete, and shortage risks) across the distribution network.
* Drive actions to reduce excess and prevent stockouts while meeting agreed service level targets.
* Support inventory optimization initiatives across multi-echelon supply chains.
Execution & Coordination
* Coordinate with manufacturing planning to align production output with downstream requirements.
* Work closely with logistics, warehousing, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
* Manage allocation and prioritization during constrained supply situations.
Performance & Analytics
* Track and analyze KPIs such as service level (OTIF), inventory turns, days of inventory, and forecast adherence.
* Identify gaps and improvement opportunities in downstream planning and execution processes.
* Prepare regular planning, inventory, and supply performance reports for management reviews.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
* Use ERP/APS systems (e.g., SAP APO/IBP, Oracle, Kinaxis, O9, Blue Yonder) to run planning cycles and scenario analysis.
* Participate in process improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy, responsiveness, and automation.
