Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To prepare, assemble and install vehicle and/or chipper components to required specifications for Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Unit and Finish departments.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Read and interpret schematics (blueprints).
• Read and interpret work orders.
• Use basic hand tools such as tape measurer and specialty equipment.
• Follow established safety and quality policies, procedures, and practices.
• Learn and operator all equipment within the work area (cell).
• Perform rework as required.
• Support APS (Altec Production System) initiatives.
May participate in RCI events.
• Willing to move to other work areas in order to support production needs.
(Cross-train).
• Maintain daily time records.
• Install unit vehicle and/or chipper components and accessories.
• Testing of installed components.
• Mastery of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and trouble shooting skills.
• Willingness and ability to train new/current associates.
• Maintain and complete any necessary documentation or paperwork.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution is required.

What are we looking for?
The full time petroleum inspector is responsible for volume measurement, temperature measurement and sampling of commodity materials contained or conveyed in lines, shore tanks, cars, tank trucks, etc.
This position will involve traveling to client locations for onsite inspections.
Shift/Schedule: Full Time plus the availability to work on-call hours
What you'll do:
* Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures
* Seal Tanker Trucks at 3 rd party terminals
* Able to perform by specified methodology the below duties in addition to completing the associated paperwork
* Volume measurement, temperature measurement and sampling of commodity materials contained or conveyed in lines, shore tanks, cars, tank trucks
* Visual inspections on lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks
* Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, shore tanks
* Perform routine equipment calibrations, verification and function checks
* Verify and communicate the results obtained and to make the entries into the appropriate media
* Provide on the job assistance and receive training from more experienced inspectors
* To communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport and Company personnel to promote smooth exercise of duties assigned
* To monitor the availability of the supplies needed for the above processes, and to make any needs for such supplies known to the Dispatcher or Coordinator

- Apply systems analysis and testing techniques and procedures to ensure software or system functional specifications are correctly identified.
- Create test-related work products (test cases/scripts, test datasets, test validation and verification results etc.) per testing standards and procedures.
