Key Responsibilities:
Contract Manufacturer Management:
* Manage daily interface with contract manufacturer(s) that manufacture for and supply finished medical devices and pharmaceutical product to Merz.
* Coordinate changes amongst multiple vendors.
* Monitor for ongoing compliance to established agreements, regulations and expectations.
Activities include regular review of manufacturing processes (i.e.
batch record review, deviation approval, on-site audits etc.
* Work with supply chain to ensure continuity of Supply from CMO.
* Monitor output and quality of output of CMOs
Process transfers and improvements:
* Lead product and process transfers to and from CMO.
* Evaluate and implement new technologies per Quality System Standards, Quality System Regulations, and other company procedures.
* Drive process improvement initiatives at CMO on behalf of legal manufacturer.
* Monitor and facilitate reduction in product manufacturing cycle time and increases in capacity at suppliers.
Audit Activities:
* Perform audits of the CMO sites to ensure compliance to global regulations.
* Participate with federal, state, and local regulatory officials during regulatory inspections both at Merz and at Contract Manufacturing facilities.
Quality Processes:
* Coordinate all approval activities for the legal manufacturer in accordance with global regulations and guidelines.
* Facilitate and Manage inter-company change controls and their associated deliverables.
Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:
* Support Contract Manufacturer’s investigations and implementation of meaningful CAPA/SCARs (corrective and preventive actions).
* Serve as NCR/SCAR/CAPA approver as necessary to support CMO production releases.
Design Transfer Support:
* Support organization in the design transfer and implementation of new designs into manufacturing within design control and quality requirements
Education:
* BS/BA in Engineering or related field Required
* Masters degree.

* 5 years Pharmaceutical/ Medical Device Manufacturing Quality.

* Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.
* Performs tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
* Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
* Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.
* Assembles, installs, adjusts, and calibrates mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment.
Dismantles, repairs, rebuilds, and replaces equipment and parts as needed.
* Adheres to all plant safety policies.
Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
* Provides assistance and guidance to junior maintenance colleagues.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
* Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) or technical training and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge and Skills
* Demonstrates ability to select and operate appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
* Possesses an operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
* Demonstrates ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.
* Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate issues and solutions to team members.
* Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Possesses the ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, and reassemble manufacturing equipment.
* Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
* Demonstrates the ability to work effectively under limited supervision.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.

Starting wage $19.50 per hour plus $1.00 shift premium
3rd Shift 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Frequent performance reviews with wage increases within first 2 years of

Key Responsibilities
* Operates stacker controls to ensure stacks are aligned and orderly.
* Prepares stacked units for banding, operates palletizing machinery and ensures quality of product.
* Performs all duties in a safe manner, while wearing all required PPE and immediately reports any safety concern to the supervisor.
* Visually inspects each unit for defects (bad knifes, wrinkles, warp, out of line, proper pad placement, loose liner, unit appearance, etc.).
* Units found to be defective must have defective material removed.
* Informs knife man of the amount of defective board so the amount can be rescheduled to run.
* Measures at least one sheet from each order for length, width, and scoring accuracy.
Issues regarding quality are to be brought immediately to the knife man or supervisor’s attention.
* Reads production orders to ensure all special instructions are being fulfilled (units with specific height requirements, or that require exact quantities per unit, full pad protection, cross-banded, etc.).
* Monitors alignment of board and manipulates controls to ensure proper alignment of stacks.
* Understands and utilizes proper procedures for knife exit section controls and lift positioning controls.
* Places tie sheets in multiple stacks, inserts proper pads or cross-pads to units when necessary.
* Operates the palletizing machinery and inspects units to ensure plastic bands are applied securely to each bale prior to shipment.
* Communicates any special situations to the individual who is relieving them.
* Responsible for keeping area and equipment clean of any debris or scrap material.
* Attends all safety training provided by the employer.
Education and Experience
* Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent)
Knowledge and Skills
* Follow directions and work well in a team.
* Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
* Solid understanding of the production equipment.
