Job Summary:
Ahwatukee Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Weekend Charge nurse to oversee the operations of a nursing unit.
This individual will provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring the highest level of patient care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
The charge nurse will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, improve clinical outcomes, and support staff development in a fast-paced post-acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clinical Leadership: Supervise and manage nursing staff on the assigned unit, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork among staff to enhance patient outcomes.
* Staff Management: Oversee nursing personnel, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
Participate in the hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline of staff.
Ensure staffing levels meet patient care requirements.

Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers.

Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
* Quality Improvement: Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Conduct regular audits to monitor clinical outcomes and address any areas of concern.
* Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with patients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
Address any concerns or issues raised by patients or their families in a timely and professional manner.
* Reporting & Documentation: Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Complete required reports on staff performance, patient care, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
* LPN or RN with a current, valid license in the state of Arizona.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing leadership or management role, preferably in a post-acute care setting.
* Strong knowledge of clinical nursing practices, patient care, and healthcare regulations.
* Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.

What you'll do on a typical day:
* Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack or move product, equipment and materials
* Use a handheld scanner with a high degree of accuracy
* Load and unload trailers as needed
* Adhere to the 7S program and maintain a clean environment at all times
* Display a commitment to process excellence
* Demonstrate an understanding of the Supply Chain quality policy
* Perform inbound receiving processes
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
* To be trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks
* Availability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed
It'd be great if you also have:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1 year of warehouse experience
* A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment
* Excellent communication skills
This job requires the ability to:
* Lift 50 lbs.
