A pipelayer will be responsible for aligning, and connecting underground pipelines for water, sewer, storm drainage, or utility systems.
Responsibilities:
* Cut, measure, prepare, pipes for fitting and connections using proper tools, bonding agents, and installation techniques in accordance with project specifications.
* Perform trenching, shoring, clearing of materials, and site preparation for pipe installation.
* Work closely with crew members and equipment operators
* Identify and mark all utilities and underground lines prior to excavation activities.
* Attach trench boxes to chains or guide wires for safe lowering and lifting by equipment operators.
* Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE and take proactive measures to avoid hazards or obstructions.
* Carry out additional duties related to the role as assigned on a temporary or permanent basis by foreman or supervisor.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

o Maintains equipment in a safe and clean condition.
o Performs pre and post-trip truck inspections.
o Verify general compliance with mix specifications after loading and at job site.
o Aligns mixer drum under disbursement chute at the plant to receive product into the mixer truck drum.
o Drives ready mix truck to location for unloading.
o Operate ready mix truck to release concrete down truck chute into area to be poured with concrete.
o Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck
o Places and operates chutes to deliver product where directed.
o Other duties as directed by supervisor.
