The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Finance Department by performing multiple general accounting and controls functions.
Job Location
This is a hybrid role based out of our North Salt Lake, UT site or Phoenix, AZ site.
Job Responsibilities
* Record both monthly and standard journal entries to the general ledger
* Ensure timely and accurate month end closing
* Perform account analysis and reconciliation for both balance sheet and expense G/L accounts
* Perform financial analysis as requested by the Controller and other management
* Support operating plants, AP and AR functions as requested
* Run daily and month-end reports for management
* Assist with request related to internal and external audits
* Ensure internal controls are maintained to safeguard the financial assets of the company
* Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent in a combination of experience, training, and education
* Cost & Inventory accounting preferred
* Ability to apply logical thinking to gathering and analyzing information
* Knowledge of accounting software, ERP software, minimum intermediate Excel spreadsheet and Word software knowledge
* Must be able to multi-task, be detailed oriented and possess strong organization skills
* Maintain attention to deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned accounting tasks, reports and reconciliation.

Position Overview
The Asphalt Laborer position is responsible for performing various duties on construction and/or paving projects.
The employee will generally work in utility capacity by transferring from one task to another where demands are required.
