The County of Riverside's Human Resources Temporary Assignment Program (TAP) is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician - Per Diem to support the Department of Animal Services for our Jurupa Valley and San Jacinto locations.
Although incumbents may be placed in one location, you must be comfortable traveling to all locations, as needed.
The Registered Veterinary Technician will be responsible for performing routine animal checkups and providing support during emergencies.
Duties include communicating with pet owners to determine changes in their pet's health and well-being, for example, changes in activity levels and/or diet, checking an animal's weight, heartbeat and other vitals to record in patient files, drawing blood samples or administering medications.
Responsibilities will also include preparing instruments and medical supplies for Veterinary Surgeon's use, preparing animals for sterilization surgery and assisting with anesthesia and monitoring animals during surgical sterilization, observing animals after surgery to detect any post surgical complications and documenting/elevating as necessary.
A Registered Veterinary Technician may be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
The Registered Veterinary Technician is the first professional level classification in the Registered Veterinary Technician series and reports to a Supervising Registered Veterinary Technician.

What you will do
The Manager for Front-End Innovation in Self Care will be responsible for researching, interpreting, and applying the latest advances in microbiome research and related sciences, specifically within the oral and gut microbiomes and their effect on metabolism and the host immune system as well as overall systemic health.
The candidate will be expected to shape an innovation strategy, different programs and pipeline of novel consumer solutions and communication platforms in relation to the oral/gut microbiomes or the effect on systemic health.
This role will lead the development of Kenvue’s Microbiome Innovation Strategy for Oral and Digestive Health, as it relates to aging, overall oral/gut and systemic health and disease.
The responsibilities will include establishing clinical and preclinical evaluation plans and ensuring a consumer-centric approach to communicating benefits to health care professionals (HCPs) and consumers.
Success in this position requires close cross-functional partnership with Product Development, Translational Science, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Marketing to shape and deliver product concepts, claims, and communication strategies.
External engagement will also be critical for identifying strategic partnerships, relationships with healthcare professionals, advancing future innovations in key categories, and supporting external communication of the science behind our products.
The Front-End Innovation R&D Manager will additionally lead a small team of 2–3 subject matter experts, providing daily coaching, mentorship, and development support.

The Volunteer and Partnerships Coordinator will work closely with the National Capital Region Invasive Plant Management Team (NCR IPMT) and the National Capital PRISM (Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management) to help increase volunteer opportunities focused on invasive species prevention, detection, and removal, as well as support a community of practice among invasive species practitioners and Weed Warrior volunteers.
This position will work with existing park staff, partners, and individual volunteers who share similar values and are interested in prevention, detection, and management of invasive species.
The Individual Placement will organize, advertise, lead, and track data from a minimum of three invasive plant removal volunteer events per month, including monthly reoccurring events and AmeriCorps National Days of Service.
In addition to leveraging the NCR IPMT’s existing partnerships and volunteer base, this position will help recruit new partners and volunteers through creative education and outreach opportunities.
