ERM is seeking a Principal Consultant, Environmental FERC Project Manager to assist with current client development, new business development, and industry awareness.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES PRIOR CONSULTING EXPERIENCE AND FERC EXPERIENCE. This position will focus on energy projects with responsibility for advancement of permitting and compliance associated with development of Natural Gas Act-regulated projects in the United States, including natural gas transmission and liquefied natural gas (LNG). The position will require an understanding of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the complexities of energy and environmental policy and will require a broad knowledge base from which to draw experience.
This position can be based anywhere in the U.S.
The Principal Project Manager will work collaboratively with ERM teams/Partners to provide industry-leading service to a portfolio of clients; actively participate in industry working-groups related to potential or proposed policy changes or new initiatives; and be aware of market conditions and industry trends. The successful candidate will engage in multiple clients' development concurrently and be responsible for cultivating new business by identifying project opportunities and conducting client outreach.
Projects are often fast-paced, multi-faceted, and geographically diverse.
The successful candidate must be able to manage varying priorities to provide high-quality project deliverables completed on time and within budget. ERM is hiring Inspectors to perform inspections of water service lines, and work in field teams of two to determine the service line material.
Work will occur in properties throughout Southeast Pennsylvania (Chester, Bucks, and Delaware Counties and the surrounding areas).
The projects we work on and the services we provide demand teams of multi-disciplinary professionals working collaboratively to meet our clients’ needs. The role of an Inspector working within this program requires the use of multiple methods to perform detailed inspections of customer-side water service lines to identify the service line material.
This is a part-time (20 hours/week), limited-term role for the duration of 4 months, renewable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conducting field inspections to determine water service line material.
* Interacting with, and serving as a point of contact for ERM with landowners, contractors, clients, and other project team members.
* Reviewing and implementing project documents and data entry.
* Providing technical leadership, support, and direction to field staff. This includes the coordination of daily inspections, schedules, and meetings.
* Distributing water sampling test kits and contracts to landowners, as needed.
* Documenting service line material findings by preparing daily written inspection reports that provide up-to-date, consistent written and photo documentation of activities observed in the field.
* Participating in various meetings.
* Performing additional tasks as assigned or required.
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
* A basic understanding of building construction and the ability to locate a water meter/shutoff is preferred but not required.

You will be present during all site activities and responsible for all health and safety activities, and the delegation of duties to any other project team members.
This is a full-time (40+ hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 12 months, renewable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Engage with general contractors and subcontractors on behalf of the owner, as the owner’s representative.
* Promote client’s safety culture across contractor and subcontractor groups.
* Proactively identify uncontrolled hazards and influence safe work practices of general contractors and subcontractors on behalf of the owner.
* On-site observation of construction activities from an EHS perspective.
* Documentation of activities with respect to required EHS performance.
* Train on-site workers on EHS oversight program requirements.
* Train on-site subcontractors on EHS oversight program requirements.
* Help administer project directives given by the Client’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) personnel throughout the project.
* Report on whether project staff and trade contractors are complying with the Client’s safety procedures and are working in accordance with the approved project-specific safety plan.
* Maintain required safety-related documentation on the project site, including, but not limited to, safety orientation training, Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), SDSs, pre-task assessments, and toolbox talk summaries.
* Participate in daily pre-shift coordination meetings to include review of the day’s activities and associated hazards.
* Review and comment on the General Contractor’s JHAs with project trades and obtain signatures prior to commencement of work.
* Conduct daily site inspections, focusing on work site orderliness and compliance with safety procedures and protocols.
Proposed corrections of safety deviations will be discussed with the General Contractor’s Safety Manager, and support will be provided for implementing corrective actions.
* Issue daily site observation reports for each site inspection.

This is a full-time, dayshift, split-schedule (3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off), limited-term role with a duration of 2 years, extendable.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing and supporting implementation of OSHA requirements, standard operating procedures, health and safety plans, job hazard analysis, emergency response plans, risk assessment processes, behavioral safety programs and contractor safety management.
