This is a great opportunity for a support worker to join our team here in Newcastle.
As a support worker within the out of hours team, you will be on hand via the telephone to best support our colleagues working in our supported housing services.
You may even support with shift cover too.
This is the perfect job for you if you like the buzz of supporting many different services.
This is a fast-paced environment and very reactive.
You’ll be jumping into action with your experience and expertise, helping colleagues / customers who need us the most.
Day in the life of a lead support worker
* You will work across the ‘hotspot’ evenings and weekends.
Days may vary from week to week and will work on a rota basis.
* You will have a reactive role and no two shifts will be the same.
This role will have variety.
* You will support via the telephone anything from staff unable to attend their shift (and sourcing temp cover), responding to repairs, health and safety incidents, emergency bed move ins, and even responding to customer safeguarding alerts.
* From Northumberland to central Newcastle, you will have sound working knowledge of our services and how to find the best resolution in line with policies and procedures

* Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
