This is a paid internship and must be recognized by the intern’s collegiate institution as academic credit toward a chosen degree in Agronomy, Turfgrass Management, or Plant Sciences.
This is a full-time internship that entails 32-40 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
In this role, you will be exposed to every aspect of golf course maintenance in the desert working closely with the Agronomy Assistant Superintendents, Senior Assistant Superintendents, and Superintendents.
You will gain experience in irrigation management, applying pesticides and fertilizers, and growing your leadership skills.
Based on performance and program completion, Interns will be eligible to advance into the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent role upon their return to Desert Mountain post-school graduation.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for learning and growing.
Must be enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4-year Agronomy, Turfgrass Management, or Plant Sciences Program.

Position Overview
A Yard Jockey is responsible for efficiently transporting trailers or containers within a warehouse yard or distribution center.
If needed, the yard jockey may need to travel within the NJ, NY & PA areas.
Duties and responsibilities
* Maintaining precise records of trailer movements, such as arrival and departure times, trailer numbers, and locations; as this information helps track inventory, monitor efficiency, and resolve any discrepancies.
* Safely operate a commercial vehicle, such as a truck or tractor-trailer, to transport materials.
* Working closely with warehouse dock personnel, including forklift operators and truck drivers to coordinate the timely movement of trailers to and from loading bays to maintain smooth operations.
* Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contact Logistics Management about removing orders according to company policy.
* Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
* Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
* Loads and Unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas using electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
* Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
* Sustain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
* Communicate with warehouse personnel, dispatchers, and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or any other relevant information.
* Follow instructions for proper handling and securing of cargo to prevent damage or accidents.
* Adhere to delivery schedules and meet deadlines for timely and efficient distribution of goods.
* Perform basic maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure.

As a DTO Bilingual Trainer – Accounting, you will deliver expert training and support in English and French to new and existing customers on our Dealer Management Software.
You will primarily conduct virtual training sessions to guide customers through the software implementation process, ensuring a smooth transition.
