What You Will Be Doing
* Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and monitoring of the server environment including on-premises and cloud infrastructures, NAS/SAN, and monitoring systems.
Recommend and execute modifications to the environment to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
* Ensure long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning.
* Design, install, configure, and maintain systems, including web servers, application servers, software packages, and related components or systems to achieve high performance.
* Provide guidance and expertise on system installation, configuration, and optimization to other IT teams.
* Troubleshoot system issues as they arise.
Monitor and respond to outage system alerts promptly to minimize the impact on the business. Communicate troubleshooting progress and issue resolutions to a broad audience throughout the outage and the resolution process.
Upon resolution, provide a high-level root cause analysis of service interruptions and document recommended improvements to prevent recurrence.
* Lead and collaborate on architecture in small to large-scale projects.
Projects that may be built within a hybrid infrastructure.
This will require defining requirements, plans, schedules, and costs while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Document systems and ensure project success.
* Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and occasional weekend maintenance activities as required.
