Georgia-Pacific's Dixie® products manufacturing facility located in Darlington, South Carolina has an opening for a Reliability Engineer reporting directly to our Maintenance & Reliability Manager.
The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our facility's equipment and processes.
This role involves analyzing equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance overall reliability and productivity.

What You Will Do
* Partner with manufacturing team members using reliability models, methods, and analysis to improve equipment reliability, product quality, and safety.
* Implement and maintain predictive maintenance management systems such as vibration analysis, lube oil analysis, ultrasonic testing and infrared scanning.
* Facilitate Root Cause Analysis of downtime events to prevent future unplanned failures.
* Support the development of machinery asset strategies including detailed preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring and critical spare parts.
* Maintain facility and machine reliability documentation and technical library for easy access to Operations, Maintenance, etc.
* Lead FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and Design for Reliability on new and existing equipment.
* Maintain and review key performance indicators and dashboards with operations and maintenance to ensure asset strategies effectiveness.
* Lead site's utilization of vibration analysis technology.
* Actively participate in driving a safety culture where employees address unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors and participate and make suggestions for improvements.

* Develop and evaluate investment alternatives that provide the best long-term value creation solution, coordinating with the Facility, Business, Engineering, Sourcing and Legal teams.
* Partner with procurement and sourcing teams to align on equipment and construction contracting strategies, including bidding, cost evaluation, selection, and award.
* Manage third parties including but not limited to outside consultants, contractors, and technical resources.
* Seek and use best knowledge and proactively share knowledge while embracing challenge to drive innovation.
* Applying PBM® to drive long term value creation in support of manufacturing and business customers
