Our Palatka mill is in Northeast Florida about an hour South of Jacksonville and just minutes west of the beautiful Atlantic beaches of historic St.
Augustine, Fl.
The Senior Buyer is responsible for negotiating, purchasing, and contracting for equipment, materials, supplies, support services, and capital project management services in a fast-paced environment.
The Senior Buyer works with the mill's requestors to understand requirements including specifications, service needs, performance expectations, and scheduling.
The individual is knowledgeable about national, regional, and local contract agreements and ensures compliance with applicable corporate and local policies, guidelines, and legal requirements of contract law.
The right individual will be proactive and use a solutions-based approach.
This role reports directly to the Purchasing Manager, and will sit onsite at our facility in Palatka, FL.

Lead and direct the strategic planning and implementation of the sales, marketing, and business support activities to a defined list of major bricks and mortar customers (strategic accounts).
This is to be achieved by cultivating relationships company wide, identifying opportunities, and employing superior account management skills to ensure sales targets are exceeded.
The role will manage the successful implementation of support activities and initiatives to maximize current and future potential of Elanco products and services.
Your responsibilities:
* Achieve and contribute to individual and national sales targets
* Plan how to establish and maintain major account relationships and meet team and personal sales targets within the full line of Elanco products.
* A major contributor of the UKIE net sales targets both directly and indirectly by contributing towards the company strategic goals direction.
* Monitor and report on designated Retail account business performance.
* Proactively seek out opportunities for business development in the retail space and develop and lead strategies to maximize opportunities.
* Develop and manage corporate account business plans.
* Work closely with retail Brand Managers and Shopper Marketer to develop and implement customer plans to maximize sales of retail brands in Retail stores.
* Establishes and builds strong client relationships over time that allow for continuity and ongoing representation reinforced by sales support/delivery programs, and communications to other relevant organizational functions/divisions.
* To effectively use digital and virtual technology to increase customer interactions and personal productivity.
* The management and negotiation of key account terms and rebate structures.
* Monitors and controls key account OpEx budgets.
* Provides clear intelligence on competitor sales activity.
