Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Dudley, NC Lumber Mill.
Pay is between $26-37 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
This role will come with a $3,000 sign on bonus
The schedule is a 12 hour shift on days with every other weekend off
This is a highly skilled hourly position requiring a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
This position creates value for the facility by performing preventative and corrective maintenance leading to increased uptime and reliability, thus helping the facility to meet their production and quality goals

Our Lumber mill in Dudley, NC manufactures dimensional lumber of superior quality to meet the demanding needs of builders.
What You Will Do
* Troubleshooting, installing, aligning, dismantling, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and uptime
* Performing periodic maintenance routines to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail
* Maintaining operations equipment to achieve optimal performance levels
* Working with operations associates to identify and prioritize maintenance needs
* Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, i.e.: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots and other PPE as required by specific jobs while completing assigned work
* Identifying machine components and coordinate to order parts as needed
* Performing precision work to include laser alignment, belt tensioning, bolt torque specs, and completing necessary paperwork
* Diagnosing and repairing issues wilt mill equipment including pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and other failures.
* Repairing/replacing mill equipment components such as conveying chain, bearings, gearboxes, motors, cylinders, etc.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* At least two (2) years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial, military or manufacturing environment
* Experience with bearings, chains and sprockets, rigging, belts, precision measurement, and precision alignment of motors and couplings
* Experience with cutting, welding and fabricating

* Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions
* Three (3) years or more of industrial mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial, military or manufacturing environment

Scope of the Position
Perform all the tasks required to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, adjust, replace and install plant mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other components for equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures
* Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and program malfunctions in automated systems, automated machinery and stamping presses

ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Warehouse role is to assemble and deliver customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
LOCATION AND SCHEDULE
29 Palms- On-Site
Monday-Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (can vary based on store)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Will be involved in warehouse operations which includes receipting for material or moving material to retail floor and warehouse.
* Pack and Inspect Orders that have been filled and completed, verify stock count and accuracy and produce Packing Slip, correct any and all order errors, produce MSDS sheets and any other internal document required by customer, sign off on Quality Review and move order on to shipping station.
* Conduct regular product warehouse inventories.
* Participate in area maintenance to include cleaning floors, work tables and stations, distribution office, repack areas, receiving areas and staging areas.
* Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment to include ensuring fork lifts are connected to electrical recharges on a daily basis.
* Communication with customers, base supply managers and other employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Graduate, with two years relevant training.
* Through working knowledge of Warehouse operations.
* Forklift experience is required.
Warehouse experience in the military or commercial environment is required.

Must pass pre-employment motor vehicle background check and have all applicable motor vehicle licenses. Forklift / Warehouse experience in the military or commercial environment is required.
Responsible for assembling orders received by fax, email or telephone.
* Pull material in a timely and accurate fashion and deliver within the scheduled timeframe.
* Will deliver merchandise to the prescribed delivery location, at which point the recipient will inventory it with a signature indicating its accuracy or shortages.
* Will be involved in warehouse operations that include receipting material or moving material to the retail floor and the warehouse.
* Involved in warehouse operations when no deliveries are scheduled
* Warehouse/store cleanliness
* Checkout operations
* Shelf stocking
* Participate in store maintenance including periodic floor cleanup, stripping, waxing, and painting which is normally accomplished during non-store open hours
