Requirements

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the general cleanliness of the office, breakroom, locker rooms, bathrooms and other areas as specified.
We have an exciting Monday - Friday opportunity.
Starting Pay: $17.00- $19.00/hour USD
Shift: Monday through Friday 6:00PM-3:00PM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Daily job duties as stated in the Plant Sanitation Module which include, but are not limited to:
* General cleaning of restrooms, locker rooms and break areas.
* Conference Rooms, entry areas, front lobby, and employee entrance
* Discarding of all garbage.
* Proper floor sweeping, washing, and vacuuming in all office, warehouse, and production areas.
* Maintain inventory of GMP, cleaning and paper supplies.
* Back fill GMP essentials (helmets, safety glasses, hair nets, and other coverings to be compliant.
* Maintain a clean and organized area.
* Maintain daily sanitation schedule including production floor work assignments
* Maintain the inventory of multiple items to keep proper items on hand
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience working with cleaning chemicals
* Light Medium Work- Lifting 30 pounds maximum with frequently lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds

BASIC FUNCTION
Illinois Marine Towing Deckhands work on our fleet of Inland Towing and Fleeting Vessels preparing barges for safe and timely transport.
Qualified candidates must be safety-conscious and able to work in a physically demanding environment.
The work schedule consists of 21 days on and 21 days off (Line Boat) or 14 days on and 7 days off (Fleet Boat), working 12 hour shifts.

The duties of the Deck Crew vary from vessel to vessel and from watch to watch.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical requirements of the job include climbing ladders and stairs, repetitive bending and stooping, lifting heavy marine equipment, and lifting objects from various levels ranging from 10-100 pounds.
The equipment and tools used to perform job duties includes but is not restricted to lines, cables, ratchets, cheater pipes, pumps.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Deckhands work and live aboard their assigned vessel for extended periods of time.
The majority of duties performed by Deckhands are on the outside of the vessel and they may be subject to inclement weather (snow, ice, extreme heat, rain, fog, etc.).
This work may be performed in rough waters and unstable footing conditions.

Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area.

• Ensure maintenance supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.
• Ensure that the facility and its equipment is properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
• Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible • Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
