Job Description: Evaluate patients within twenty four (24) hours, or 1 business day of physician referral.
If unable to complete evaluation in 24 hours, documentation in medical record clearly defines cause for delay.
Develop effective treatment plan and obtain approval for services from referring physician.
Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and patient related activities, following state practice act.

The Opportunity
* Seeking Board Eligible/Certified Internal Medicine physicians.
* Current IL state license is a plus.
The Practice
Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin, Illinois
* Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and STEMI Receiving Center.
* 350-bed facility with a 15-bed open ICU.
* Annual volume ranges from 2,000 to 2,500.
* 7-15 encounters per day per hospitalist.
* 8-hour shifts with nighttime tele-ICU coverage.
