Position: Senior System Administrator
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Salary Range: $82,900 - $92,900 per year
Clearance: Clearable to Q
KeyLogic is seeing a Senior System Administrator to perform task based and project-based work.
You will receive tasks from a variety of sources to include Email, IM, phone, ticketing systems and in person.
You will self-identify projects and also receive them from the customers.
You will perform software installs and configuration, hardware installs and configuration, software troubleshooting and problem resolution.
We use various methods to record work done (ticketing system, SharePoint, etc.) We regularly perform inventory management of spare IT equipment (Computers, monitors, IT peripherals).
You will work closely with customers outside of IT departments to define system requirements, needs, and costs. Candidate will need the ability to partner with other IT teams such as corporate cyber security, firewall and proxy teams. The work will be entirely onsite at the customer’s location.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in the maintenance of software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis.
* Assist Applications Engineer and Applications Programmer to troubleshoot software and operating systems.
* Work will primarily be performed in a Linux environment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or total of 8 years of relevant experience without a degree.
* Must be a US Citizenship
* Have an active, and maintain a U.S.
Department of Energy Q security clearance
Required Skills:
* Linux Server System Administration & UNIX experience at least 2 years
* RHEL system administration experience - RedHat 7 and 8
* 2 years of VMware & ESXi experience
* Ability to do procurement of platform hardware, track inventory, and track licensing
* Experience applying firmware upgrade and system patches
* Skill utilizing software diagnostic tools and the ability to conduct appropriate troubleshooting processes and conduct appropriate upgrades
* Experience in customer service, good with communication skills with customers, vendors, database administrators, and has attention to detail
Desired:
* RHEL Satellite administration experience
* STIGS implementation experience
* Ability to research, assemble, and evaluate information or data regarding industry practices or applicable regulatory changes and recommend sound, practical solutions to complex issues.
* Automation platforms such as Ansible, VMware, Python at least 2 years
* Experience in Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting language for automating System Admin tasks or troubleshooting existing processes
* Virtualization, servers, storage, and networking equipment experience
