Experience - minimum 8 to 10 years in Electrical /Power System engineering overview and protection knowledge.
Having related working experience in Engineering Consulting company/EPC or other reputed companies in Energy Automation or Power system field.
Skills and Experiences
* Working experience in Power system study and Protection application knowledge in Substation HV, MV & LV system
* Lead technical and perform Power Systems studies including Load flow, Short circuit, Transient study, Motor acceleration and reacceleration studies, Harmonic analysis, Islanding studies, ARC flash Analysis
* Prepare protection Relay setting calculation and OC & EF Coordination
* Knowledge of various protection applications including differential, distance, generator & motor is must
* Be able to perform equipment & cable sizing, Insulation coordination study, Transformer sizing, NGR & NGT sizing, CT sizing, Capacitor sizing, Breaker sizing, UPS, Battery and Battery Charger sizing, etc.,
* CT & VT sizing, adequacy check, Voltage Dip/ Drop Studies
* Familiar with IEC & ANSI standard Knowledge
* Familiar with ETAP, PSCAD and other tools
* Technical support to tendering team during bid by analyzing customer specification to define Scope of Work and engineering cost estimation
* Be able to prepare detailed study report for customer approval
* Familiarity and Work experience with all ranges of SE numerical relays
* ABB, Simenes, GE, SEL & others makes relays knowledge and work experience will be an added advantage
* Basic understanding of SCADA and Communication protocols including IEC61850, Modbus, etc
* Basic understanding knowledge on Control and Protection panel design drawing is must
* To coordinate with Internal or end customer for technical coordination, design & document approval
* International project execution experience will be an added advantage
* Data Center segment and OGP work experience will add on advantage
Main responsibilities
- Support tendering during offer preparation to define SOW and cost estimation
- Technical responsibility for a complete project delivery
- Ensuring quality (content, timing, costs) of the deliverables, documentation and studies
- Forwarding reports to the Design Leader or Technical Leader or Project manager
- Writing technical specifications and design notes
- Performing design studies and details studies if required
- Participating in design review meetings with Customer
- Participating actively in the capitalization and sharing of experience
- Contributing to technical innovation and productivity
