The County of Riverside's University Health System (RUHS) Medical Center is seeking a qualified Regular-Fulltime Emergency Department Technicians located in Moreno Valley.
Under direct supervision, assists licensed professional Riverside University Health System - Medical Center (RUHS-MC) staff in the Emergency Department (ED) by providing a variety of patient services, which include basic administrative, clerical, and medical support services for patients in the ED; and performs other related duties as required.
The Emergency Department Technician is a first professional level classification and reports to an Assistant Nurse Manager, working under the technical guidance and supervision of Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department.
Incumbents are tasked with providing basic bedside care to ED patients, including patient preparation for various exams and medical procedures, as well as transportation to and from other units within the RUHS-MC.
The Emergency Department Technician class is further tasked with orthopedic duties, including the application and removal of splints, bandages, and slings.

The Engineering Co-Op is an entry level production / process engineering position which allows an engineering student, following their second year of formal studies, to gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing setting.

* Provide professional, compassionate customer service to patients, clinicians, and staff.
* Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling.
* Perform CLIA-waived and moderate-complexity testing, including quality control procedures.
* Prioritize and process specimens (STAT, ASAP, Routine, Pre-op) efficiently.
* Maintain clean, safe, and compliant laboratory work areas.
* Troubleshoot basic instrument or workflow issues and escalate when needed.
Skills & Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare or laboratory settings strongly preferred.
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask.
* Comfortable working under pressure and both independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to distinguish colors and shades.
* Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
Pay Range:
$19.70 - $27.58
