Responsibilities
Job Summary
Manages the manufacturing functions on all shifts.
This includes: planning the production flow; troubleshooting manufacturing issues; handling staffing issues; monitoring production orders and schedules; etc.
Develops and analyzes production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Develops and works with Production Supervisors or Production Leads.
Provides assistance to employees in solving work-related problems.
Works with Human Resources to determine the most effective resolution(s).
Develops and revises standard operational and working practices and observes associates to ensure compliance.
Identifies projects and methods to improve performance in all areas of manufacturing.

* Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Business or related field
* 4+ years Manager experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environment; previous experience as department manager or superintendent for larger facilities would also be a fit; industry background in manufacturing related to mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants, etc.

* Extensive knowledge and background in operations supply chain business processes, continuous manufacturing and production processes, and working contemporary concepts of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing

Basic Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* Minimum 1 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing production and/or manufacturing equipment
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

* This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
* 3 years of experience with diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems for production equipment
* Experience maintaining machinery such as CNC Machines, machine washers, salt lines, and etc.
* Familiarity with Davenport, Traub, Sasspi and/or Waterbury machines
* Experience working with PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
* Knowledge of or experience in working with Screw Machines, Drillers, Tappers, and other manufacturing equipment, as well as troubleshooting the above-mentioned machines.
* Detail oriented and has the ability to follow both oral and written directions, ability to work unsupervised
* Demonstrable knowledge and/or understanding of codes, rules, regulations and standards of electrical equipment
* Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and drawings
* Familiar with commercial building codes
Additional Requirements
* Must be able to work on site in Carson, California
* Must be able to work on the 1st shift and overtime and/or weekends as needed
+ 1st Shift: 4 AM - 2 PM
* Able to lift 15-30lbs.

* Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
