The Nemours Neonatology team is looking for an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding NICU in Wilmington, Delaware.
We will be expanding in 2026, adding 14 new inpatient rooms.
With this expansion, the NICU will house 45 beds as a contiguous unit.

The Endowed Chair for SCD Research is part of the Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation gift of $78 million to lead NCH-D to national prominence in cancer and blood disorders, with SCD research identified as a key priority.
This individual will be instrumental in leading and expanding the current program scientifically and clinically, and will join and strengthen an already productive SCD group.
The Moseley Foundation Institute is already home to an NIH funded $10.5 million Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) award for SCD research and numerous investigator, industry and consortium sponsored trials.

The pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist's role is an integral part of a multidisciplinary cardiac team and includes supervision of CRNAs and CAAs, education of medical students and anesthesia residents pursuing pediatric cardiac anesthesia electives and working closely with our pediatric cardiac intensivists assisting with invasive monitoring placement, airway management, and bedside procedures.
In addition, the physician will participate in department and hospital-wide quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance care delivery and leading efforts to implement best practices.
This position includes the opportunity for a faculty appointment at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
Research opportunities are available both through collaboration across the Nemours Children's Health system and the UCF academic community.

Program Timeline:
* Application Window: First week of January 2026
* Schedule Interviews: Third week of February
* Panel Interviews: Last week in February

Program Eligibility:
* RN Residency: A program designed for newly licensed
*
* RNs (or international equivalent) with less than 12 months of nursing experience to attain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to meet standards of nursing practice relevant to the practice setting.
* Must be a graduate of an accredited ASN/ADN, BSN or MSN program.
* Please note: Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) is required.
New hires and transfers must obtain BSN within four (4) years from hire.
* Must hold current Registered Nurse Licensure - issued by the State of California at time of hire
* NCLEX: Exam status must be passed or scheduled
* Current Basic Life Support Certification - issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire

Work Schedule Expectations:
This position requires flexibility during the residency program and orientation.
Residents will work avaried schedule that will include a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, as well as different start times, to support training requirements and operational needs.

Works under the supervision of the Director.
The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individualized care in a patient care area according to departmental policies and procedures and Nurse Practice Act.
She/he will individualize patient care based upon the age appropriate and developmental needs and will accept responsibility for the direction of co-workers in the implementation of the plan of care.
Collaborates with physicians, patient/families and members of the health care team in delivering a plan of care.
Utilizes positive communication skills.
May be required to work on other nursing units according to distribution of staff and patients.
Should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit.
