Job Summary
The Process Engineer provides technical support on assigned units to Operations and other refinery groups (Safety & Environmental, Economics & Planning, Strategic Planning & Project Engineering, Reliability, Maintenance, Purchasing, etc.).
Technical support may include, but is not limited to, routine unit data monitoring & troubleshooting, engineering surveys for unit optimization and run length projections, mass balances, development of opportunity projects, scope of work development for contract selection, engineering calculations for safety & environmental, engineering support in the development of unit availability metric, and engineering data collection & analysis for capital projects.
Troubleshooting and technical writing are also required for various engineering reports and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
* B.S.
Degree in Chemical Engineering, or other related engineering degree with appropriate experience may be considered.
* Overall GPA of 3.0 or above (A=4.0) (Must provide proof of current GPA at time of hire to verify eligibility requirements are met).
* Refinery/Petrochemical process plant engineering experience providing technical support for unit operations, piping, fixed or rotating equipment.
* Experience with Simulation Software (i.e.
SimSci, Proll, etc.) preferred.
* Valid driver's license required.
* Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC).

* Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks
* Up-sell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field
* Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses
* Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner
* Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
* Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S.
DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
* Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines

Qualifications for Internal Candidates
Required Qualifications:
* Class B CDL
* Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
* Basic computer and math skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Strong customer service skills
* Perform physical functions per job requirements
* Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
* Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.
