Position Summary:
Behavioral Health Tech I (BHT I) is responsible for assisting and supporting patients through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge.
BHT I will be contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process.
BHT I responsibilities primarily include ensuring patient safety, providing patient interventions, leading psychoeducational groups, and supporting patients.
Essential Job Functions:

* Recognizes, responds to, and assists in crisis situations and provides interventions as appropriate.
* Consistently reports to work on time and prepared to perform the duties of the position.
* Assists in the implementation of individual patient treatment plans per clinical team.
* Supports patients during admission and discharge processes.
This may include checking in patient belongings, acclimating patients to the program, preparing patients for returning home
* Monitors patient activity and documents any significant patient issues.
Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all shift notes, group notes, and other required documentation by the end of shift.
* Maintains an organized and safe environment and performs basic housekeeping duties.
* Conducts regular facility and grounds checks, advising facility leadership of any irregularities or safety concerns.
* Responsible for scheduled shifts and finding coverage if a shift cannot be worked, unless experiencing an emergency
* Attends all staff meetings and in-service trainings.
* Completes all online training, policy verification, and ensures that their employee HR file is kept up to date.

* Coordinates with parents and school upon admission, regarding educational needs of the client and sets appropriate school work schedule.
* Determines whether the client has any special needs regarding educational requirements, communicates those needs to the treatment team and assists the resident in fulfilling those needs.

Facilitates the timely completion of assignments and tasks.

Position Summary:
Responsible for all coordination of activities and overall facilitation of clinical flow of patient throughout the course of treatment.
Overall coordination of a patient's care while in residential services, including integration with family services, sessions, communication with referral sources, assessment of patient progress, and communication to the clinical team regarding special treatment needs and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
* Completion of patient assessments such as bio psychosocial assessment, patient goals and treatment planning.
* Utilize multi-disciplinary treatment team to determine appropriate level of care and identify behavioral health needs that may require external placement outside of Brookdale Premier Recovery.
* Facilitate group therapy and individual counseling.
* Recognizing, assessing, determining, and evaluating symptoms of addictions according to ASAM and DSM V criteria.
* Work with family therapist to assess family dynamics, recommend family education programs and ongoing family therapy.
* Work with Patient Experience Managers to develop a comprehensive continuing care plan that includes input from clinical referents, internal referents, multi-disciplinary treatment teams, family, and patient.
* Work within the ethical constraints of a certified addiction counselor and other professional or organizational ethical standards as they apply to the position.
* Document treatment plans, progress notes, treatment plan updates, case consultations, phone calls, and discharge summaries in the patient medical record in accordance with Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery policies and procedures.
* Complete necessary utilization review information.
* Contacts, oversees and coordinators all communication involving patients, referent, and family as appropriate in assessment and care planning processes.
* Conducts individual and group counseling sessions congruent with 12-step program to motivate and support patient awareness, understanding, and motivation to change related to addiction and recovery issues and is responsible for fully integrating the process into the patient's treatment plan.
* Communicates and works effectively with a team, consults with the multi-disciplinary team, patient, family, and referent (consistent with CFR 42 and CFR 45) to address clinical issues both verbally and in writing related to the individualized treatment plan, continuing care, including types of care, level of care.
* Coordinates communication and collaboration with internal and external customers (i.e., referents, business development officers).
* Must be able to develop and present psychoeducational lectures, specialty groups relative to the disease of addiction, relapse, behavioral addictions and 12 step recovery.
