This position is for a System Security Automation Specialist.
Responsible for direct interface with agency Information Systems Security Officials (ISSO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), Science Information Officer (SIO), and other officials to support security requirements and initiatives.
Responsible for the review and documentation processes of systems in the context of IT Security.
Perform risk analyses which also includes risk assessment leading to a formal Authority to Operate (ATO) status of system compliance.
The level of support includes guidance, recommendations, and SA&A support.
Position is remote.
Candidate must reside locally to attend onsite meetings in the Atlanta office.
Responsibilities:
• Ensures that applications and infrastructure support activities are in full compliance with all federal wide OMB and agency policies and procedures, including adherence to EPLC standard processes and procedures, as well as adherence to federal NIST 800-53_rev 5, NIST 800-171 security standards.
• Candidate will have an active role on the team to support the review & compliance of NIST 800-171 policies along with other security and compliance responsibilities.
• Support Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) process
• Conduct and document Privacy Impact Assessments utilizing agency guidance.
• Review system logs.

• Develop Exceptions and Waivers to support mission-related needs.
• Develop draft security and privacy policies and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages participants through their period of participation in the Program by monitoring overall program compliance, oversight of recovery activities, recommendations for treatment, and liaison with the Board.
- Conducts remote, telephonic assessment and reassessments of healthcare professional licensees to evaluate their status, overall compliance with program requirements, and progress in recovery.
- Contacts the participant, the appropriate Board/Committee (or their designee) or treatment providers, facilities and labs in response to participant non-compliance with the Program Agreement.
- Meets with applicant/participant telephonically weekly until seen by Review Committee, and monthly thereafter, to review compliance and progress in recovery.
- Responds to incoming calls on the toll-free line, as needed, and after-hour, weekend, and holiday calls on a rotating basis with other Program staff.
- Evaluates incoming information submitted by treatment providers, facilities, participants, and labs to monitor participant's progress and compliance with the Program Agreement.
- Reviews data in the History and Profile (H&P) reports to ensure accuracy prior to submission to Program Managers (PMs).
- Works on issues where analysis of situation and of data requires review of relevant factors: Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
- Engages in quality assurance monitoring and evaluation for the Program, as necessary.

This is a full time, hybrid-remote position that will require travel throughout territories of Kingston, Oneonta, Newburgh, and Middletown, New York.
Maximus has partnered with the New York State Department of Health to establish the Children and Youth Evaluation Service (CYES) program to determine whether a child or youth is eligible for home and community-based services (HCBS) covered by Medicaid.
The Field Nurse Evaluator will be working in the community conducting strength-based assessments for families who have children (ages 0-21) with behavioral health/psychiatric issues.
All nurses are provided support and education for ongoing professional development and annual certification in the CANS-NY assessment tool.
The assessments will be the basis for family-driven Plan of Care (POC) development to support the family's access to Home and Community Based Services (HCBS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage a strategic, comprehensive corporate and/or project/client information security monitoring and operation program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information owned, controlled or processed by the organization.
- Responsible for the establishment, planning and administration of overall policies, goals and procedures.
- Analyze staffing needs for coverage and proactively make adjustments when necessary.
- Measure staff's performance through annual performance appraisals and provide training/development for continuous improvement.
- Provide/Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and coaching abilities.
- Communicate with Information Technology professionals as well as senior management and auditors, assessors, and consultants.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

* Provide leadership and oversight over the Federal Information System Security Officer (ISSO) staff.
* Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained for programs in Federal division (including Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST 800-53, 800-171, Cybersecurity Framework, CMMC, and FedRAMP).
* Advise on the establishment, planning and administration of policies, goals, and procedures.Manage a strategic, comprehensive project/client information security program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information owned, controlled, or processed by Maximus.
