ESIS is seeking an AGL Claims Representative to manage commercial auto and general liability property damage claims for client accounts.
Reporting to the Claims Team Leader, this role is responsible for investigating and resolving bodily injury claims promptly, fairly, and in accordance with established best practice guidelines.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Work under limited supervision to receive assignments and review claim and policy information, providing background for investigations and determining policy obligations as appropriate for the line of business.
* Contact, interview, and obtain statements (recorded or in person) from insured individuals, claimants, witnesses, medical professionals, legal representatives, law enforcement, and other relevant parties to gather necessary claim information.
* Arrange for such appraisal of damaged property.
* Review and evaluate property damages.
* Assess facts obtained during investigations to determine the extent of liability and the company's obligation under the policy contract.
* Prepare reports on investigations, settlements, claim denials, and evaluations of involved parties.
* Set reserves within authority limits and recommend reserve changes to the Team Leader.
* Review the progress and status of claims with the Team Leader, discussing challenges and recommending solutions.
* Prepare and submit unusual or potentially undesirable exposures to the Team Leader.
* Assist the Team Leader in developing improved methods for handling claims.
