Schneider a développé des compétences sur le développement de système de gestion de l'énergie dans les microgrids et les habitats particuliers.
L'une des difficultés majeures pour gérer l'énergie dans ces systèmes est la présence d'incertitudes concernant la génération des énergies renouvelables locales, la consommation électrique de certains équipements et le prix de l'électricité.
La méthode la plus souvent industrialisée pour ce pour ce type de cas d'usages est le Model predictive Control (MPC).
Cette méthode consiste à entrainer des modèles de prévision de séries temporelles à prédire ces incertitudes, générer des prédictions à intervalles réguliers résoudre un problème d'optimisation déterministe et répéter ce processus toutes les 15 minutes pour améliorer les prévisions.
Mais cette méthode requiert, pour être performante, d'être capable de générer de très bonnes prévisions des incertitudes.
Il faut donc implémenter des modèles complexes alimentés par de grandes quantités de données.
Une nouvelle classe de méthode consiste à générer des scénarios qui ne sont pas forcément des bonnes prévisions mais qui sont les scénarios les plus pertinents pour minimiser le regret entre le problème d'optimisation que nous devons résoudre et celui que nous aurions résolu avec une connaissance parfaite du futur.
Cette méthode s'appelle Smart Predict Then Optimize.
Le stage sera réalisé au sein de l'équipe Artificial Intelligence Hub à Grenoble.
