Select and specify welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, robotic arc welding, laser welding) appropriate to project requirements, balancing quality, cost, and productivity.
Work with Engineering to design and evaluate weld fixtures, robotic weld cell layouts, and tooling to optimize part access, repeatability, and cycle time.
Evaluate new welding equipment, consumables, and technologies, and recommend upgrades or changes to improve process capability.
Quality & Compliance Investigate weld-related nonconformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions in coordination with Quality.
Ensure welding procedures and practices comply with applicable codes and standards (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX) and customer specifications, including requirements tied to defense-adjacent and regulated industries served by MWES.
Support internal and customer audits related to welding processes and documentation.
Maintain and update weld procedure and qualification records.
Project & Cross-Functional Support Provide technical input to project quoting and estimating regarding weld process feasibility, cycle times, and equipment requirements.
Partner with Project Engineers and the Automation Manager to meet project schedules and provide timely status updates on weld process readiness.
Support new equipment integration, robot commissioning, and process validation for new automation cells.
Travel as required to support project commissioning, customer meetings, or field service assignments.
Stay current on new developments and best practices in welding engineering, robotics, and automation.

Job Summary
In this role, you will be part of our production team performing a variety of duties, including; a ssisting machine operators, m aintenance, yard work, warehouse, production, utilities, and material handling
Job Responsibilities
* Clean-up machinery and conveyors, maintain the surrounding area and keep equipment free from debris during downtime
* Clean floors and pick up reusable scrap for salvage, transport trash and debris away from production areas
* Responsible for keeping pallets neat and orderly
* Assist lead operator in preparing for shift production, work closely with the lead operator and become knowledgeable of the mechanics and operation of the automated equipment
* May be required to work with conveyors, ramps, elevators, etc.

* Operate machinery or automated equipment as trained and instructed following safety guidelines at all times
* May be required to operate equipment such as hoppers, bagging and sealer machines, forklift, palletizers, hydraulic equipment, powered tractors or vehicles, among others
* Operate a variety of hand tools
* Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks
* Assist in completing shipping/receiving documents, verify loads leaving the premises
* Package and label products properly
* Maintain, verify, and count product inventory
Job Requirements
* Requires pre-employment drug screening/background test
* High school diploma/equivalent, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience
* Ability to follow company safety procedures and attend weekly safety meetings
* Must be able to demonstrate lock out tag out procedures and keep key lock at all times
* Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 80 lbs.

The Terminal Operator 1 will complete daily loading, unloading, administration and safety requirements on site.
They will also actively participate in site maintenance and upkeep to drive the 5s and "make it better" programs.
The Terminal Operator 1 will actively engage with customers to ensure that we are providing a solid customer experience on site.
What you'll be contributing:
* Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
* Gains full understanding and demonstrate adherence to the safety program
* Loads trucks and/ or rail cars as per the daily schedule utilizing the on-site systems
* Unloads product as per the daily schedule utilizing the on-site systems
* Operates on site mobile equipment and receive training
* Handles inquiries and orders for customers and sales personnel
* Maintains shipping logs, prepares bills of lading, and calculates split-load tonnages based on a customer's instructions
* Works with company apps for site emails, safety incident reporting, completing training and other programs.
* Maintains supply point and 5S standards
* Assists with basic maintenance of equipment on site
* Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
* High school graduation or equivalent is required.
* Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
* Willingness to learn, training will be provided.
* Receive basic site safety training including First Aid and all applicable LSR Training
* Receive OSHA (IHSA) 10 hour certification
What to expect in a cement environment:
Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant.
Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures.
Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height.
