JOB SUMMARY:
The Retail Production Associate I will primarily work in a production environment processing and sorting donated items following company quality standards and guidelines to determine which items will be placed on the sales floor to be sold.
This process includes pricing and testing guidelines as required.
The Associate is responsible for ensuring the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion.
The Associate may occasionally be in contact with customers and expected to be responsive in communication and provide excellent customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Basic math, calculator, and computer skills are highly desirable
Demonstrate ability to monitor furnace conditions
Accurately take readings
Make refractory repairs to cupola, ladles and furnaces.
Haul iron
Slag off molten iron
Rod and dump the furnace
Maintain cleanliness of production area
Operate yard crane to accurately weigh charge metals into the weigh hopper
Load and unload rail cars
Break up returns
Maintain the yard in orderly fashion
Plot and adjust chemistry over iron
Demonstrate the ability to charge the cupola
Operate bobcat and forklift
Move and process materials
Receive and process scrap
Education/Experience Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old to apply

Must be able to read and follow work instructions
Cannot be afraid of heights
Shifts:
Must be available to work 8-12 hour shifts
Must be available for overtime as production needs require
Shifts vary according to Plant assignment
Monday – Friday, some Saturdays and Sundays required.
Typical shift hours:
1 shift: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
2 shift: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
3 shift: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am Sunday - Thursday
Pay rate:
Base pay rate of $25.61, 2nd shift premium: $1.50, 3rd shift premium: $1.00
Base rates increase $1/hour upon successful completion of probation (60 working days)

* Learn and comprehend the safe functions and operation of all equipment in the assigned work area, with the goal being to perform the safe operation of equipment within 90 days of hire.
