Our team of Hardware Engineers are focused on delivering high-speed electrical design for advanced optical interconnect products.

The team is made up of 450 employees who produce white top linerboard and solid bleached sulfate (SBS) paperboard.
The SBS material is used to make GP's Dixie plates.
White top linerboard is used in production of corrugated containers and displays.

POSITION PURPOSE
A shop hourly position with the primary responsibilities of leak free welds (pans) using pulse welding procedures and equipment, critical welds and corner welding. This position requires the ability to read and understand blue prints and a wide variety of product knowledge.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Possess good writing and oral communication skills and the ability to work professionally with BAC customer and co-workers.
• Competent in math including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractional computations, and fraction to decimal conversions.
• Read measuring devices: ruler, combination square, protractor, metal gauge and micrometer.
• Able to read and understand all types of BAC drawings (assembly, fabrication, welding).

In this role you will operate and maintain a CNC machining line to perform multiple ID and OD machining functions on metal work pieces.
You will produce precision parts applying knowledge of machining procedures to meet the customer's expectations and Amsted Rail procedures and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following essential functions satisfactorily:
* Adhere to plant-wide safety, ergonomics and environmental requirements, defined by Amsted Rail; outlined by the Amsted Rail Health & Safety program.
* Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures on machines, using hand tools and gauges.
* Remove and replace worn or broken cutting tools.
* Verify alignment using measurement instructions.
* Select program into machine control units to start operation.
* Adjust tooling monitoring systems, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty, if machines malfunction or parts fall out of conformance.
